National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme was officially started on 24th September 1969 (Mahatma Gandhi Centenary year) father of nation mahatma’s thoughts to develop villages and community through youth force. NOT ME BUT YOU the motto of NSS is to understand the community, in which they work, identify the needs and problem solving, practice national integration and harmony.

In our college six units are functioning 600 volunteers involving service activities. (400 Boys and 200 Girls). 4 male and 2 female assistant professors acted as programme officers

Each unit having adopted villages in and around Kumbakonam
Special camping also conducted in adopted villages.
